About
Descendants Of American Revolution Patriots
The DOARP was formed to fill a void in American patriotic societies of descendants of American Revolution Patriots. The purpose was not to bring honor and recognition to DOARP members themselves, but to promote, recognize, and encourage the efforts of young Americans as well as older Americans who are working to further the values and principles on which America’s Founding Fathers formed her. The purpose is to promote service to others rather than to be served.
Unlike other descendant societies, Descendants Of American Revolution Patriots is open to men and women and to their immediate families. This family membership of a descendant society is to encourage and strengthen the bond of the family in America and to bring families together in learning about and remembering the patriots’ efforts and stamina in forming the great United States of America. In an America where the family is consistently being separated and destroyed, bonding of American family units is extremely important.
