Membership

in the

Descendants Of American Revolution Patriots


Any male or female age 18 or older who is a current member in good standing of any American Revolutionary Society is eligible for membership.  Submission of one’s Membership Certificate from any national, state, or local American Revolutionary Society shall suffice as qualification for membership.

Any person age 18 or older shall be eligible for membership in this Society who is a citizen of good repute in the community, and is the lineal descendant of:

provided, however, that no person advocating the overthrow of the Government of the United States by use of force or violence shall be eligible for membership in the Society.  Any such offense by an active member shall result in termination of his membership.

Spouses of DOARP members are eligible to be Auxiliary Members of the DOARP.

Any child under the age of eighteen of a DOARP member is eligible to be a Junior Member of DOARP.


Application for membership shall be processed through the appointed Registrar/Genealogist of the DOARP on the forms approved by the DOARP.


DOARP Membership Application Fee is $10.00 for any applicant holding current Certification in another American Revolutionary Society.  Membership Application Fee for new ancestral documentation is $50.00.


DOARP Annual Dues are set at $20 and due prior to December 31 for the next ensuing year.


Changes to Membership Dues and Expenditures are decided by simple majority of members voting.
